The “Buzzanator” was designed specifically for Mid-Western Farmers and their troubles with chaff clogging up alternators. The problem was resolved by putting a rotating screen on the rear of the alternator (alternator fans suck air in from the rear to cool themselves).
The unit is designed after the Delco 21SI Series alternator and has several enhancements specifically useful for its use in crop farming, besides the obvious advantage of the rotating fan. It also has had its ouput amperage increased to over 150amps, which helps keep the system voltage up for those that use their combines at night. More specifically, for those that like to light their fields up like runways at night. The bottom end output was also increased, with the unit producing 90+amps at 2000 alternator rotor rpm. The alternators have a durable powder coat type finish to resist corrosion and to keep them looking good for years. It should be noted that these units are not one wire models, they need to retain the side plug in. If you need a one wire alternator of this type, we can modify a factory unit to your needs. There is also a A/C tap (relay terminal) for operating tachs and other devices requiring an A/C output signal.
An all around durable unit, built in America for American Farmers, though us Canadians find great use for it too.
